1. Borrowing is for all members of the SMU Student Association.
2. Borrowing is on a First Come First Serve basis.
3. Each member is only entitled to borrow ONE book at a particular time.
4. Loan period is ONE month for members of SMU Student Association, TWO months for SMU E.y.E members.
5. All applications for loan procedures will end by Thursday night.
6. Collecting and returning of books will be carried out on Fridays between 3p.m. to 5 p.m only.
7. Borrowing and returning of books can only be done on Friday, with the exception of overdue items.
8. The Library Administrator shall set the venue and time for return of overdue items.
9. Only SMU E.y.E members are allowed to reserve books.
10. Loan renewal is allowed only when there is no reservation for the book on loan.
11. Overdue charges are set at $1 per book per day.
12. Should the book be returned in unsatisfactory conditions, penalties shall be imposed accordingly as deemed fit by E.y.E Club. Maximum penalty shall be the cost of a replacement copy.
13. If a loaned book is lost or overdue for more than 2 weeks, the member (student) shall pay for a replacement copy as penalty.
14. If a member (student) has poor borrowing records (i.e. not returning loaned books on time persistently, returning the book in unsatisfactory conditions), his or her library membership (borrowing privileges) shall be revoked.
